New tools offer spring cleaning for your computer
Bruce Dorner There are more software tools to tune-up your computer than anyone can count. Some of them are truly useful, some are less viable and a few are just plain worthless. However, the boundaries among these categories are best left to the eye of the beholder, or in our case, the person sitting at the keyboard. In previous articles I have mentioned free utilities. The free tools are great if you have the time and patience to learn how each works. For others, purchasing an integrated program is a better choice. Here is a summary of my experience with two of these programs, Diskeeper 2007 Pro Premier and Iolo's System Mechanic Professional.
